Carved from a two-piece Qld Maple block joined with hide glue.
The top of the bass was carved from Sitka. Blackwood was used on the back and sides.

This was built using Queensland Maple for the back and neck, Rosewood fretboard and the top was Silky Oak (was a piece I already had), I was very impessed with the workability of the Qld Maple and the final result was way better than I expected.
I will definitely use Anagote timber again.

European spruce for sound board (not purchased through Anagote).
Neck and scroll hand carved in European maple (not purchased through Anagote).
Tailpiece hand carved in Gidgee collected from fallen tree in paddock.
Handmade tuning gears and buttons, European maple bridge, endpin spike assembly and all other hardware except strings.
Finished in traditional violin oil varnish.

Carved from a two piece laminated block, finished in tinted Ubeaut hard shellac.

Les Paul JR/Custom hybrid made from a one piece Queensland mahogany body with a bookmatched Tasmanian blackwood cap and neck of Queensland rock maple. Finished with Z-poxy pore filler followed by thin wipe on polyurethane.
